HexBug Reduces it's Carbon Footprint....

The battery life of a HexBug isn't infinite......or it wasn't until now! With the clever use of rechargeable 1.5 volt batteries and a solar cell mounted to the HexBug's wings, Alpha has become unshackled from the restraints of normal batteries.

He will be happy to explore all day and night.....well all day at least! A big thank you to Graham Cooke from Southsea in Hampshire for the images. We will hopefully be updating the blog with a wiring diagram and video for those interested.

Despite the arrival on UK shores being some months away, BBC Focus magazine have already seen the appeal of the HexBug Crabs and they are featured in this months 'Objects of Desire'.
